Gastech 2018 Barcelona Spain
Gastech 2018 returns to the west after three previous editions in Asia, and reflects the resurgence of gas & LNG in Europe. The event will be hosted by the Spanish Gastech Consortium, which includes a number of Spain’s leading energy companies including Enagás, Repsol, Gas Natural Fenosa and Técnicas Reunidas.
Gastech returns to Europe as market conditions improve and many exciting new opportunities present themselves:
LNG is now a truly global commodity – and supply/demand dynamics are set for a radical shift by 2020 as both Australia and the United States join Qatar as leading global suppliers of LNG.
Current levels of LNG are keeping spot trade stimulated, especially to emerging buyers in Africa, Latin America, South-East Asia, and Central & Eastern Europe.
Asia and Europe remain the largest consuming regions for gas & LNG with demand outlook bullish – creating major new opportunities for global suppliers.
As carbon reduction policies bite, Europe leads the way in diversification for LNG and gas use – in marine and road transportation, heavy industry, and in power generation.
Positive LNG growth potentials for the consumer markets of South-Western Europe and the Iberian Peninsula.
Barcelona and Madrid are key transactional and financial hubs for the global energy industry – in gas, LNG, oil, coal and renewables.
